The History of Quebec and Canada: From the Fall of New France (1760) to The Act of Union (1840)

Required Materials:
Textbook: "Journeys through the History of Quebec and Canada" (Origins to 1840 - blue)
All students MUST have their own textbook for this class! Also:
- 3-ring binder, with loose-leaf paper for taking notes
- Pens, pencils, eraser, coloured pencils, highlighters, etc.
- Your school AGENDA!
Final Exam: November 30th
Class Expectations: To graduate from high school in Quebec, students must successfully complete four credits in History.
This is not only a required course for graduation, it is also extremely intensive. In order to be successful you should plan on dedicating about 12 hours per week to History.*
- Attend class attentively!! Arrive on time and prepared for class. Listen, ask questions.
- Copy the course notes into your notebook. Add notes and ideas from class lectures or your readings.
- Read the assigned sections of your textbook, and answer the questions.
- Each week, revise your notes and textbook.
